“Need anything from Spar?”

One local made the best of the hectic in Jeffreys Bay, and flooded the internet with laughter.

Jeffreys Bay, South Africa (22 September, 2023) — The Eastern Cape has had a tough time with flooding recently, following the big storm surge that happened over the past weekend.

However, in true South African fashion, a local in Jeffreys Bay has made the best of the hectic, equipped with good spirits, a kayak, and an apparent mission to Spar.

TikTok user @corbynmidd captured the brilliant moment that saw a man on a mission adventure across the flooded streets of Jeffreys Bay via a kayak, and the reactions are priceless.

South Africa Reacts:

“Mzanzi Venice”, one user dubbed the experience.

“No matter what disasters may come our way we as South Africans always find the humour in it,” another nodded approvingly.

“This is why I can’t leave the country,” a user shared aloud.

“Why are South Africans like this? I love us!!” added another.

“South Africans, truth be told, the positivity from all of this, no matter how bad it gets, ask your neighbour if they need anything from spar,” shared a hopeful local.

“Love n positivity that comes out of us is what makes us a great nation,” another agreed.
