Siya Kolisi’s BOS Ice Tea collaboration has raised over R200,000 to date for the Kolisi Foundation, making a substantial impact on vital community causes.

Johannesburg, South Africa (22 October 2023) – In a heartwarming display of unity and support, South African rugby legend Siya Kolisi, along with his wife Rachel Kolisi and the Kolisi Foundation, have teamed up with BOS Ice Tea to create a Limited Edition beverage.

The result has been nothing short of spectacular, as this collaboration has raised over R200,000 to date for the Kolisi Foundation, showcasing the immense generosity and goodwill of people both in South Africa and Europe.

BOS Ice Tea embarked on this journey to assist the Kolisi Foundation in its mission to instigate positive change through sport and education, tackle gender-based violence, and address food security issues. The Limited Edition BOS Ice Tea, launched in August, has become a symbol of hope and support for the Foundation. With every purchase of a can in South Africa or a bottle in Europe, a donation is made to the Kolisi Foundation. This simple act of enjoying a delicious beverage has become a powerful way to contribute to these vital causes.

The design of the Limited Edition can and bottle is a masterpiece in itself, a fusion of BOS’s distinctive boldness and Siya Kolisi’s Xhosa heritage. The beautiful Xhosa beading patterning that adorns the packaging represents not only a unique artistic design but also a deep connection to Siya Kolisi’s roots.

He explains, “It is important for me to know who I am and where I come from, so that I can pass it on to my children. I love being Xhosa. I love the traditions of our culture. It’s something that I will take with me wherever I go and show it with pride to the rest of the world.”

Will Battersby, CEO of BOS Ice Tea, couldn’t be happier with the overwhelming success of this collaboration.

He notes, “We are so pleased to see the donation amount grow as awareness of the collaboration spreads. Sales of Siya Kolisi’s Limited Edition have been fantastic, which means that significant impact can be made in the projects run by the Kolisi Foundation.”

It’s clear that people are not only enjoying a refreshing beverage but also embracing the opportunity to make a difference in their communities.

Rachel Kolisi, Co-founder and CEO of the Kolisi Foundation expressed her gratitude for the incredible support this campaign has garnered, not only locally but also abroad. She believes that this partnership demonstrates the immense power of collective efforts to drive positive change in a nation. The funds raised will be allocated across the three core focus areas of the Kolisi Foundation: Food Security, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Education & Sports. Rachel reminds us that sometimes, even a single act of kindness can have a profound impact. She extends her heartfelt thanks to every individual and business that has thrown their support behind this special campaign.

The BOS campaign carries a powerful message that resonates with everyone: “We are all brewed for greatness.”

In a series of short videos shared on social media, Siya and Rachel have conveyed their heartfelt insights, reminding us of the power of unity and the potential for positive change.

Siya Kolisi and BOS Ice Tea have demonstrated that a simple act, like savouring a revitalising drink, can generate waves of positive change that reach far and wide, showcasing the strength of unity, community support, and the shared belief that we are all “crafted for greatness.” Siya Kolisi’s Limited Edition BOS Ice Tea serves not only as a beverage but also as a beacon of hope, a prompt that each of us can play a part in enhancing the world, one sip at a time.
