Stork created an interactive billboard at Mall of Africa that surprised shoppers with a taste of the country, delivering mouthwatering dishes in just 60 seconds.

Johannesburg, South Africa (09 December 2023) – Stork, a brand known for its dedication to bringing the essence of the country to the people, recently orchestrated a heartwarming and interactive food experience at one of the busiest malls in Africa.

The result was a delightful surprise for shoppers, turning their mundane shopping sprees into memorable moments of connection with the heart of the country.

The brand created an interactive billboard that invited shoppers to partake in a one-of-a-kind culinary adventure. Shoppers, engrossed in their festive shopping hustle, were randomly selected to take a pause and indulge in a taste of the country. The interactive billboard allowed them to place real-time orders for delectable dishes from three distinctive country venues, all located outside the bustling city of Johannesburg.

The whole concept was so clever and executed with perfection.

From the picturesque Whispering Pines came the option of a Gourmet Tramezzini, a mouthwatering delight for those craving a taste of country sophistication. Toadbury Hall offered a sweet escape with a Waffle Stack that promised to satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth. Ground, the venue, contributed The Fun Guy, a quirky and flavorful option that added a touch of playfulness to the culinary experience.

The magic unfolded in just 60 seconds as orders were taken by the man in the billboard, swiftly prepared and delivered fresh from the country to the heart of the city. Shoppers were transformed from mere consumers to active participants in this culinary spectacle, marvelling at the seamless execution of the interactive billboard experience.

Geran Moodliar, Brand Manager for Stork South Africa, expressed the brand’s commitment to placing the country at the core of its initiatives. “The country is at the heart of everything we do. It’s in our name. It’s what people want. So we leveraged a unique media opportunity to bring the country to the city,” he shared.
